Founded in 1919/1920 by Georg Levy (former co-founder of Kienberger & Co.) Gely manufactured well-known cars, boats and airplanes in lithographed tinplate. In 1934, Georg Levy had his company confiscated by the Nazis and emigrated to England. The company was renamed “Nürnberger Blechspielwarenfabrik” and ceased trading in 1971.
